We have a new opportunity to join the team at Jewson Heathfield Way, Northampton as a Tool Hire Assistant! Our Colleagues are critical to our Customers’ success and you will be working with a team that proactively supports them in every way possible.

Is this role right for me?

While we are committed to providing you with the full tools and support required to carry out your role within Jewson, there are some skills and experience we are looking for from candidates;

• A keen interest in DIY or working with various tools at home on projects.
• Customer Service experience
• Experience maintaining and repairing equipment, for example mechanical, manufacturing, or similar
• A full, clean driving license is essential for this role

What will I be doing?

Our Tool Hire Assistant will be in regular contact with our Customers and therefore play a huge part in delivering a fantastic customer experience. In order to support our customers and deliver a great service you will;

• Develop great relationships with new and existing Customers (both face to face and over the phone), understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions.
• Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of our tool hire equipment in the workshop
• Use our in-house systems to process customer orders
• Organise and carry out tool hire delivery and collection keeping customers updated throughout
• Attach trailers and tow equipment to sites (Will be trained)
• Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work
• Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5pm, and every 2nd Saturday, 8am – 12pm
