Adecco’s specialist Property Services Division North are delighted to be partnering exclusively with an amazing Housing Provider organisation down in Nottingham as we look to assist them in recruiting for a permanent Quantity Surveyor to work with their commercial teams.

Purpose

The role focuses on QS services with cost analysis, budgeting,commercial assistance, construction aftercare services and construction site inspections.

Will also involves Contract Administration on new build housing schemes, acting for the client. This will be mainly as an Employers Agent role under the JCT Design and Build contract.

Duties

• Assist with the delivery of construction projects by assisting with the administration of construction contracts, monitoring contractor performance; certifying contractors’ payments.
• Attend scheme meetings and programme delivery meetings with clients, contractors and developers.
• Assist Senior Employer’s Agent/QS in gathering all information required on construction projects to provide comprehensive handover information to other departments; providing technical assistance to other departments on construction related issues.
• Allocate and supervise the work of the Clerks of Works; assisting the Clerk of Works with snagging and handovers.
• Participate and contribute to the development of policies and procedures, and delivery of departmental KPI’s and operational improvements in the areas of construction performance and team performance monitoring, standardisation, process/product improvements and tenant satisfaction.
• Monitor defects expenditure against approved budgets; proposing corrective action if necessary.

Requirements for candidates

• Experience working in the capacity of an Employers Agent, within the social housing sector
• HND Qualification in Quantity Surveying or associated construction discipline, plus experience working within either a construction or maintenance environment.
• Current and relevant knowledge of building processes and applicable statutory requirements
• Experience managing people
• Valid Driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Great attitude and willingness for achievement and improvement

Salary & Benefits

• Pay £37,952 – £42,751 per annum
• Hours per week: 35
