Mortgage Collections Team Leader

Huntswood is looking for an experienced collections team leader with mortgage experience to support our client’s collections specialists in their Central Leeds office.

Role overview:

Location: Central Leeds – Office based

Rate: £300 a day – Umbrella only recruitment – This is only available to individuals working via an Umbrella company, we can assist you with this

Start Date: Mid-March 2023

Shift: Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm

Duration: Initial 3-month contract

As a Mortgage Collections Team Leader you will:

• Manage mortgage collections agents and specialists
• Provide feedback and coaching to agents and specialists
• Floor walking to provide advice and feedback when required
• Deal with escalated calls from agents
• Support agents and specialists identify and support vulnerable customers

A Mortgage Collections Team Leader will have:

• Experience managing Collection Specialists within a financial service environment
• Experience working with mortgage products, ideally with an understanding of buy-to -let and shared ownership mortgages
• Experience dealing with performance concerns and giving feedback
• Ability to identify vulnerable customers and deal with their situations in a suitable manner and understand the complexity of different peoples’ circumstances
• CeMap qualification would be an advantage
• An excellent telephone manner
• Be able to navigate multiple systems
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to navigate through a number of in-house databases
• Good MS Office skills, particularly MS Word
• Strong numeracy and written communication skills
