Excellent opportunity for someone coming from a rural background such as farming or forestry to launch their career in an exciting new direction with long-term career value by moving into the specialised field of land surveying and land management.

This company has a massive portfolio of properties and clients spreading across across the UK as well as further afield internationally. They are an independent business focusing particularly on rural land and property management, and they are looking to expand their Utilities and Renewable Energy divisions to support their framework projects in the area.

In this role you will be undertaking specialist training and then working in a niche role that will see you doing things such as land referencing, land acquisition, digital mapping, project valuations, property sales and supporting with wider project delivery.

While no formal experience is required for this role, the ideal candidate will come from some kind of rural background such as forestry, farming or land management, and ideally will have a good commercial awareness. It will be highly advantageous that they have a RICS qualification or such a professional membership, however training for this can be provided.

The role:

Managing multiple projects at different stages of development and keep them moving forward.

Liaising with landowners to secure land rights

Compensation claims for rural and utility clients

Digital mapping

The Person:

Comfortable meeting clients and stakeholders both on-site and virtually

Full UK Driving Licence

Ability to use digital mapping systems to prepare plans (desirable)

Practical experience in farming or forestry and a understanding of wayleaves (desirable)
