Inspections Officer

My client, a modern and vibrant property business, is looking to recruit two Inspections Officers to help support the team. The role is permanent – (9.00am-5.30pm Monday-Friday, one Saturday per month)

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Investigate Landlord and tenant complaints
• Undertake occupancy checks to determine whether tenants are still in occupation, taking photographs and leaving documentation to advise of our attendance
• Ensure tenants have enough gas and electric and topping this up on their behalf, when requested
• To be available on the telephone to provide indirect contact during working hours
• Carry out placements, ensuring tenants know how to use their utilities and making sure they feel comfortable in their new home. Providing contact details and required paperwork
• To carry out maintenance checks in the properties and write up the observations made. Taking photos and recording any maintenance issues and damage in the property to forward to the Company Maintenance Department.
• Liaise with tenant groups, local authority councillors, property professionals and other support and welfare organisations, including social workers and estate agents

Person Specification

• Full UK Clean Driving License
• Travelling effectively within London Boroughs and surrounding areas
• Good interpersonal and listening skills
• Good observation and basic skills in assessment of environmental safety
• The ability to communicate well and clearly both orally and in writing
• The skills to manage difficult conversations or situations, without compromising professionalism.
• A clear DBS record
• Upholding the image and standards of the Company through personal presentation and demeanour

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £23,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
