Job Description

For the Head of Loan Documentation the role will

Handle lending documentation covering contract and post-contract requirements.
To develop and maintain professional relationships with all borrowers, agents and third parties to answer all questions where relevant.
Manage a team of 6
To develop and supervise staff handling loan and security documentation and banking system administration.
To work with business development department and risk management department to ensure that loan documentation properly reflects the credit approval conditions and the agreed terms with the clients.
To drive the loan documentation process and work with external legal counsels, borrowers and other lenders in the preparation and negotiation of finance documents, including bilateral and primary/secondary syndication loans covering commercial real estate investments and development, RCF, leveraged finance, aircraft leasing, ESG/sustainability-linked loans, subscription finance, corporate finance project finance and buy-to-let mortgages.
Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines.

The Successful Applicant

For the Head of Loan Documentation you will need

10 years experience is required approximately for this role.

UK based banking experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating lending documentation.

At least 8 years’ experience on LMA documentation and commercial lending.

Familiarity with LMA primary and secondary documentation.

Good understanding on market practice in loan documentation and good management and communication skills with internal and external parties.

Degree educated

People /team management experience.
