Financial Controller/Finance Director – Real Estate/Property Sector

My client is an independent estate agent located in with offices throughout North London, who now due to growth within the business are looking to hire a Financial Controller/Finance Director. Having grown rapidly in the last few years and are recognised for their innovation, we are now supporting them in the search for a talented Finance professional to play a key role in the financial management across the business. This role doesn’t just involve strategy and top line figures but someone comfortable in the detail and day to day too.

Experience within the Real Estate/Estate Agency sector is essential. Please find a list of duties below:

• Facilitate the timely provision and preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual management and financial information
• Provide strategic financial and commercial controls in relation to all aspects of their operations
• Deliver monthly reporting and management accounts packs, including commentary and analysis, for key business stakeholders
• Support the preparation of statutory accounts, including engaging with external auditors
• Consult with and manage advisors as required including tax and legal
• Responsibility for business planning and forecasting
• Review of monthly management accounts and consolidation – to include Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash-flow
• Treasury management – cash flow review, currency, bank contacts etc.
• Assist the General Manager in preparing and presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members
• Accountable for budget development and financial plans
• Develop and review forecasts to assist business planning and decision making
• Evaluate company performance using key data and helping to develop KPIs
• Work on cost reduction and analysis projects, procurement etc.
