Development Associate (perfect role for a graduate interested in property relating to onshore renewable technologies with either and energy or real estate background) – Energy/Real Estate – London based – 30,000- 35,000

Piper Maddox are representing a private equity business which invest into land for renewable energy projects across the UK and Europe. They have a large portfolio of projects which you would be able to step into immediately so you wouldn’t be set with the task of building something from scratch.

This role is perfect for someone who has come to the end of their studies/in the early part of their career with a high commercial acumen and interest in land. You’d be exposed to multiple types of technologies and work alongside a fun team who have a fantastic 12-month training program to get you the understanding you need.

You will be working very closely with senior leadership to gain first hand insights into how they invest and develop projects. The team is smaller but this means you won’t have to jump through hoops to speak to the relevant people!

Responsibilities
-Sourcing sites which could be relevant for power generation
-Looking at potential projects and assessing feasibility
-Identification of developments which can be brought into the company
-Working with landowners, agents, and other relevant stakeholders
-Negotiate Heads of Terms, exclusivity agreements and other property purchase agreements
-Working with the company to expand outside of the UK and look at European opportunities (they already have pipeline in other areas)
-Managing external consultants as required
-Analysis and presentation of project and market information
-Getting 3rd party consenting for the development of projects
-Creating business plans for new opportunities in their portfolio
-Preparation of any relevant documentation
-Attending relevant sites

A key attribute for this role will be someone who has a desire to grow within a company and reach heights most would not be given the opportunity to do. If you have ideas they will always be valued and listened to.
