Assistant Property Manager for a commercial real estate agent Your new companyHays are proud to be working with a well established family owned commercial real estate agent based in South Sheffield. The company has a wide ranging portfolio across the UK, from London to Glasgow, but predominately within Sheffield and Yorkshire. The commercial team have a need to add an assistant to help with the running of the property management function. They have a history of upskilling and growing careers internally with many of the senior members of the team starting from a junior levelYour new roleYou will be working as an assistant to the property management team within the modern office in Sheffield. Your job will be varied, from getting keys cut and reading an electric meter within properties, to tenancy negotiations and debt collections. You will be assisting the property managers to complete the functions that are needed to keep the commercial property department functioning, as well as general duties around the office. You will get exposure and experience with both commercial and residential property management as well as small scale refurbishment project management.What you’ll need to succeedThe right candidate will have a can do attitude and not be afraid to get outside their comfort zone to get the job done. You will have an interest in property and property management, with a goal to become in the future. Your IT skills will be top notch as there is a property management system that you will have to get to grips with. You will be outgoing in your nature, being prepared to forge relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, potentially having to have difficult conversations when needed. You MUST have a driving licence and access to your own vehicle as there will be some travel requirements. What you’ll get in return
